JOSH -- Artistic Director-- Josh is full for the 2017-2018 school year
Joshua Sibley is a 2010 Lake Washington High School alum who studied under Jim Peterson and Sara Crain during and after high school. A veteran of numerous musicals including Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, and the Pirates of Penzance, Joshua recently starred as the Tin Man in Full House Production's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz at the Everett Historic Theater. Josh also directed this show and was the principal script writer as well as one of the composers. Josh obtained an audition for the role of Frederic in the 5th Avenue Theater's production of The Pirates of Penzance in 2013.
Josh is developing his own curriculum and enjoys writing his own music. His original piece, Trio in C, premiered at the December 2014 8 Grands Concert at KMA. He also is the Assistant Director of KMA's Carillon Chamber singers, directed by Jim Peterson.
Joshua is becoming a Clementi specialist and is currently focusing on studying classical piano. He is a very diverse and child-centered teacher who has the ability to meet a child exactly where he/she is at. Joshua has enjoyed working with special needs children/teens with unique learning styles.
Joshua previously directed the boy's ensemble of the Andante Kirkland Youth Choir and was a guest conductor for Lyrica at LWHS in the fall of 2012. He also started our in-house musical theater production company with Sue Heale in 2013 and, together, they have written three musicals in the past 2 years.
